What is Cedenga (Tak-003)?

Takeda has also been approved by the Central Drug Standard Regulatory Agency (CDSCO) to launch this vaccine in India.

Takeda Company and Biological E (Biological E) in India aims to make this vaccine and make 50 million dose per year. The vaccine is given in two doses, three months apart and effectively protecting the disease for 4.5 years.

Who can vaccinate this?

• This vaccine can be given to the ages of 6 to 60 years. However, it is not recommended to vaccinate children under the age of 6.

Who should not vaccinate this?

• Women who are thinking of pregnancy after being pregnant or vaccinated for a month
• Breastfeeding women
• Four weeks before vaccinating, chemotherapy or other serious treatment

Takeda plans to implement public and private markets in India at different prices. In other countries, the maximum price of a dose of a vaccine ranges from $ 40 (Rs 3383.06) to $ 115 (Rs 9726.29).

Because dengue cases are increasing across the country. According to the National Vector Born Disease Control Center of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there were over 2,30,000 dengue cases and 236 deaths in India in 2024. The vaccine will be released soon.
