Hemavathi Express Link Canal Peedar, which is unscientific to the Karnataka Government, will be a curse for the people of Thiruvekere, Gubbi, Tumkur (Rural) and Tumkur (Urban) in Tumkur district. Innocent farmers and technical experts in this area have expressed their opinion that the construction of the Canal will collapse and a shortage of water supply in a timely manner. However, the state government has a soft attitude towards this. The state government’s move to bring injustice to the farmers of this area is absurd to bring water to the Kunigal area, an integral part of the Tumkur district.

How much better is it to be unnecessarily confused by the people of Tumkur, even though there is a lot of water to be provided to the Magadi, Ramanagar and Kanakapura areas through the Manchanabele and Thippagondahalli reservoirs? For whatever reason, there should be no strategic plans for the coordination of the Tumkur district and the tolerance of the masses. The Karnataka State Government hastily unilateral decision without studying the pros and cons of this project is very reprehensible.
