800 people rescue in Manipur

Assam government minister Jayant Mallabarua visited the areas affected by water logging after the rain and the condition of the victims is known.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains due to depression made in Bangladesh. A red alert has been issued for the lower Subansiri, West Kamang, West Siang, Lohit and Changlong districts of Arunachal Pradesh.

There are flood conditions in the lower areas of Imphal East district. The water level of many other rivers, including Imphal and Serou rivers flowing through the Imphal Valley, has increased significantly. The help of security forces has to be taken to take out the people trapped in the lower area.

In Mizoram too, people are suffering due to heavy rains. Four people, including three refugees from Myanmar, died in the Landslide incident on Saturday. At the same time, another person was injured. After the monsoon knock, the death toll in Mizoram has increased to five.
