Many people are victims of accidents in an attempt to catch a train in a hurry in India. However, many times security personnel or common people also come up as an angel and save the lives of people trapped in crisis. One such case has come up again. A major accident was averted at the Cuttack railway station in Odisha on Thursday morning. A constable of the Railway Protection Force saved the life of a passenger trying to board the moving train. The incident took place on 5 June 2025 at 8:05 am on platform number 1.
How did the passenger’s life survive?
44 -year -old Mohammad Mujir, resident of North Dinajpur, West Bengal, was trying to climb in train number 22503 Kanyakumari -Dibrugarh Express to visit Kishanganj. However, the train had already run and his leg slipped at a fast pace. He started falling directly towards the dangerous place between the platform and the train. At the same time, RPF Constable Tulu Behera, posted on duty nearby, immediately sensed the situation. Without losing a moment, he ran and quickly caught the traveler. He firmly grabbed Mujir’s hand and pulled them from coming under the train in a few seconds.
What is the condition of the passenger?
The entire incident of RPF constable saving the passenger’s life was recorded in the CCTV camera at the station. This 39 -second video is now becoming increasingly viral on social media. It can be seen how Constable Behera pulled an unknown passenger out of death regardless of his life. According to preliminary information, Mohammad Mujir did not suffer any serious injury. After giving primary treatment at the station, he was sent for further journey. The movement of the train was not affected during this incident.
RPF constable received reward
This bravery of constable Tulu Behera is being appreciated. Odisha DGP YB Khurania has also announced to give him ₹ 2,500 reward. At the same time, Arun Bothra, ADG of railway and coastal security, has praised his courage and vigilance by talking to Behera himself.
