Kainchi Dam Mela 2025: A large number of devotees from all over the country will arrive at the Canttle Dham Temple in Nainital, Uttarakhand on 15 June. The arrival of devotees begins three to four days before the fair starts. The last time also happened. In view of the crowd, the administration is already engaged in making a complete proof plan of traffic.

Measures to avoid jam

Based on the previous experiences, it is believed that the crowd can cause a jam on the Bhimtal and Bhawali route from Haldwani. In such a situation, it has been decided that roadways and kamu buses will be used as a shuttle service to avoid jam. This will benefit that the number of small vehicles on the road will be limited. A meeting was also held in this regard in the Aurio office regarding the traffic system. Roadways officer, people of Scissor Dham Management Committee and people from Taxi Union were also present in this meeting.

On the occasion of the foundation day of the Catchy Dham Temple, a big fair is held here on 15 June every year. A large number of devotees reach this fair and Neem Karoli visit Baba. It has been believed that every wish sought in this temple is fulfilled.

Who was Neem Karoli Baba?

Neem Karoli Baba was a famous Indian saint and Hindu guru of the 20th century. They are popular due to their divine powers. Her real name was Lakshmi Narayan Sharma and she was born in Akbarpur village in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh in 1900. He was an ardent devotee of Hanuman ji. According to beliefs, Neem Karoli Baba has been described as an incarnation of Hanuman in Kalyug.

At the age of just 11, his parents got married. He then left home to become a monk. Later, at the request of his father, he returned to his family life and had two sons and a daughter. In 1958, he again renounced home and adopted a monk life.

Neem Karoli Baba established the Castard Dham Ashram near Nainital in Uttarakhand in 1964, which is still a major pilgrimage site of his devotees. Every year on 15 June, a fair is organized on the foundation day at Castard Dham, in which millions of devotees from India and abroad come. There are temples of Hanuman ji, Lord Rama, Shiva and Durga in the ashram.
