At the same time, full curfew has been imposed in Bishnupur. Four or more persons have been prohibited from collecting four or more persons in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thobal and Kakching districts. The administration on Sunday ordered the closure of internet and mobile data services including Visat and VPN in five districts of the valley for five days. The order will be effective from 11:45 pm on Saturday night in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thobal, Bishnupur and Kakching.

Some reports claimed that Meeti leaders had been arrested. So far these reports have not been confirmed, but due to this, the situation in Manipur became tense again. On Saturday, there were widespread protests in parts of Imphal. The reports claimed that five volunteers of the Maetai organization Arambai Teengol were arrested.

Arson on the streets

The protesters set fire to tires and old furniture in the middle of the road in Quakethel and Uripok to demand the release of Tengol. Police fired the crowd by shooting

Rajya Sabha MP Leisamba Sanazoba was also seen at the scene, where he was trying to talk to senior security personnel regarding the situation. Arrest me with the MLA.” The arrest of Maetai leaders was made by a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at around 2:30 pm. However, these reports have not yet been confirmed.
