Warning of heavy rain in 20 states of the country, red alert issued for Jharkhand and Odisha

New Delhi: A warning of heavy rain has been issued in many states of the country during the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department said that there may be thunderstorms in the Ganges grounds of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha during June 19 to 22. Heavy rainfall is expected at different places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 19, 22 and 23 June. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Odisha and Jharkhand for today and tomorrow.

Warning of heavy rain in these states of the country

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, today there will be heavy rains in Bihar. There may be torrential rains in Jharkhand on June 19-20. Light to moderate rainfall may occur at most places in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada during 19-24 June. On June 19, there are chances of rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana.

Rain will continue till June 24

The Meteorological Department said that heavy rainfall is expected at different places in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan during June 19-24. On 22, there may be heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Golgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh during 20-23 June. During the next 2 days, the maximum temperature in Central India is expected to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius and there will be no major change after that.

Himachal may receive heavy rain on Saturday

The local meteorological center said on Wednesday that the monsoon is expected to reach some parts of Himachal Pradesh in the next two to three days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains at some places in the state on Saturday and Sunday and Yellow alert for heavy rains in some areas on Friday.
