Himachal will have heavy rain havoc for the next 7 days, a car buried by landslide in Shimla

Monsoon has knocked seven days ago in many parts of Himachal Pradesh including Shimla. Due to rains in many parts of the state, landslide incidents came to light at many places on Friday. Debris fell on a pickup car at Shimla’s jack, causing the vehicle to be completely damaged. A part of the Tauni-Hatkoti road in Upper Shimla region has also been damaged due to landslides. Reports of waterlogging have also come to light in the martyr Inder Singh Middle School of Pandoh, which led to the students faced trouble.

Officials said that traffic has been disrupted on Dharamshala-Chhatro-Gagal route due to landslides and the work of restarting the road is going on.

Orange-yellow alert of heavy rain

The local meteorological center has released ‘Orange Alert’ for extreme heavy rain on 22, 23, 25 and 26 June in some areas of the state. The Meteorological Department has released ‘Orange Alert’ for extremely heavy rains at some places for Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and ‘Yellow Alert’ for Tuesday.

Where did it rain?

The maximum rainfall in the state was recorded at 84.7 mm in Nahan, followed by 35 mm in Pandoh, 26.3 mm in Slapper, 20.5 mm in Sarahan, 19.8 mm in Paonta Sahib, 19 mm in Jogindernagar, 17.2 mm in Pachhad, 15.6 mm in Rampur and 15 mm in Rampur and 15 mm. Sundernagar, Shimla and Kangra rained with thunderstorms, while Bajaura lasted strong winds at a speed of 37 km per hour.

Meteorological department warned

The Meteorological Department has warned that heavy rains in the middle and lower mountainous areas may cause landslides, mud collapsing, waterlogging in lower areas, partial damage to weak structures, vehicles slipping and disrupting visibility on slippery roads. According to the forecast, the circumstances are favorable for the southwest monsoon to move forward in some parts of Himachal Pradesh in the next two to three days. (With language inputs)
