After the death of at least 297 people in the Ahmedabad aircraft accident, the DGCA has ordered Air Indio to be fired by three careless officers. The Air India aircraft going from Ahmedabad to London fell victim to an accident a few seconds after taking off on June 12. In this accident, 241 out of 242 people aboard the aircraft were killed. At the same time, many people present in the building from which the aircraft collided.
Air India itself had revealed the negligence of the three officers, giving information. After this, the DGCA has ordered the three to be fired. The three senior officials are accused of repeating serious negligence and action has been ordered against them.
What negligence did the officials do?
According to the information given by Air India, these officials did not follow the protocol. All crew members’ licenses are tested before putting duty on the aircraft, but it was not done. Even the necessary things were not taken care of to relax and refreshed the passengers. Negligence was revealed during the review of Aviation Resource Management System and Crew Management System. Airlines Aviation Resource Management System is an integrated system that airlines use for crew management.
What did DGCA say?
The DGCA issued an order on 20 June, saying, “Voluntary revelations point to failures in the crew’s scheduling, monitoring and internal accountability. Especially anxiety is that there is a lack of strict disciplinary action against these mistakes directly responsible for these mistakes.” The DGCA has considered three officers directly accountable. Divisional Vice President Chura Singh, Crew Scheduling Operations Directorate has been ordered to remove Chief Manager Pinky Mittal and Payal Arora of Crew Scheduling Planning Department.
Instructions to remove officers from the role of roster
These officers have been attributed to severe and repeatedly rejected rays, including unauthorized and non-non-non-compliance crew couples, compulsory licensing and innovation criteria, and systemic failures in time-development projects and inspections. The DGCA has directed Air India to remove the three officers from the crew from all the roles and responsibilities related to the timetable and rostering of the crew.
Tell us about action within 10 days
“Internal disciplinary proceedings should be initiated against these officers without delay and the result of such action should be reported to this office within 10 days from the date of issuance of this kind of action.” The DGCA said that the authorities will be re-appointed to non-operating roles till the completion of corrective reforms in time-development practices and they will not hold any position to directly impact the flight safety and crew compliance till next notice.
Strict warning for next negligence
The order has clear that, “In any post-audit or inspection, strict enforcement action will be taken if the crew’s scheduling norms, licenses, licenses or flight time limit will be taken in future. If this happens, the license can be canceled or the operator’s permission can be withdrawn.
