Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday termed the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations as historic and successful, saying that the state has set two ‘Guinness World Records’. Talking to the media after doing yoga on ‘RK’ with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naidu said that 3. 03 lakh people have made a world record by doing yoga together at one place. However, the exact number of participants will be announced by the ‘Guinness World Record’ Authority. He also informed that about 22,000 tribal students have set another world record by performing Surya Namaskar 108 times in 108 minutes at the same place.
More than two crore registration
The Chief Minister said, “The 11th International Yoga Day was a grand event. We have created history.” Naidu said that the state government expected about two crore registration for today’s Yoga Day, but this number increased to 2.45 crores. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Naidu and other dignitaries participated in the program organized on ‘RK’ of Visakhapatnam.
How many people participation in the country
The Chief Minister, while participating in the 11th International Yoga Day program with Prime Minister Modi on ‘RK Beach’, said that yoga is being celebrated in more than 175 countries, more than 12 lakh places, with the participation of more than 10 crore people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made Yoga popular not only in India, but also in the whole world.

Naidu said, “I thank our visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who made yoga popular not only in India but also globally. He started Yoga Day through the United Nations and converted yoga into a global health movement.” He said that yoga is an ancient Indian practice which has been accepted by everyone by going beyond nationality, region, religion and language. Yoga combines the body, mind and soul and is beneficial for health.
‘Yoga Super League’ starts from September
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Yoga Super League’ is being launched from September and requested the Prime Minister to try to include Yoga in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and eventually the Olympic Games. Naidu said, “You all know that any history can only make Narendra Modi and any record can only break the same. So I am requesting him.” The Chief Minister said that on Friday, 22,122 tribal students have set a new record by doing yoga and exercising. He said that yoga has become a mass movement today and urged people to take out at least one hour for yoga practice every day. (input language)
