Dhankuber turned out to project engineer, gold and silver recovered in raids

Belgian: A Dhankuber Engineer has been busted in Belagavi, Karnataka. The Lokayukta raided this engineer’s house, in which a large amount of gold and silver have been recovered. Apart from this, a large number of property papers have been recovered.

What is the whole matter?

A large quantity of property has been found in the Lokayukta raid at the project engineer’s residence. In a major action, Lokayukta officials raided the residence of Chief Engineer Ashok Valsand in Ramatirtha Nagar, Belgavi. The raid was also carried out at his residence in Dharwad.

During the search, the authorities recovered 1 kg 80 grams of gold worth about ₹ 92.7 lakh and recovered 3.5 kg of silver worth about ₹ 3.96 lakh. Apart from this, ₹ 1.5 lakh cash has been received. A large number of property documents and property papers have been recovered. The Lokayukta team is carefully examining every document and object seized during the raid.

An officer was also reported to have unaccounted assets in March

A similar news was also revealed in March 2025. A senior officer of the Transport Department in Odisha was arrested and was accused of acquiring a large number of assets such as 3 multi -storey buildings, three flats, 11 plots and a farmhouse.

From this Dhankuber officer, 3 multi -storey buildings, 3 flats, 11 plots, a formhouse (spread over 14.78 acres), agricultural land of more than 11 acres, 2.1 kg gold biscuits and jewelery, Rs 1 crore (which paid for buying flats), Rs 17 lakh rupees, bank balance, 2 cars and Rs 17.55 lakh cash were received.

It was seized from this 2.1 kg gold biscuits and jewelery weighing 2.1 kg, Rs 1 crore, bank deposit of Rs 17 lakh, two wheelers two vehicles and Rs 17.55 lakh in cash were also seized.
