New Delhi: Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi has said that India’s new approach to consider terrorist attacks as a war is strengthening our strategy. He praised the strength and readiness of the Indian Navy during Operation Sindoor, which forced Pakistan to peace. He said this at the Naval Samman ceremony held on 27 June 2025 at Naval Bhawan in New Delhi. On this occasion, Admiral Tripathi said that today’s global security environment is changing complex and rapidly.
The ongoing struggles in the world increased the responsibility of the Navy
Admiral Tripathi said that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir in April 2025, India decided to take terrorism as a war. This policy gave a new dimension to the operational perspective of the Navy. Indian Navy ships, submarines and aircraft were fully prepared under Operation Sindoor. Their deployment showed our strength and intentions in the sea field. The Navy chief said, “Our fast and balanced action not only showed our strategic strength and sea domination, but also forced our western neighbor to peace.” The Navy chief said that the ongoing struggles around the world have increased the responsibility, diversity and complexity of the Navy work. He insisted that the role of the Indian Navy has become more important than ever.
