Baleshwar: A heartbreaking news has come out from Baleshwar, Odisha. Here a student allegedly set herself on fire by putting kerosene on herself. A college teacher has been severely accused of harassment. Another student who came to save the student in this painful incident has also been seriously injured. Both were first admitted to Baleshwar District Hospital, then they have been referred to AIIMS Bhubaneswar when the condition became critical.

Student accused HOD of college of physical abuse

The incident occurred outside FM College. The victim student was studying in the second year of the college’s integrated B.Ed program. The college HOD has been accused of physical and mental harassment. The student tried to commit self -immolation in the college campus itself. It is being told that earlier she had kept her complaint before the college administration many times. He had previously demonstrated against harassment, but his words were ignored.

When the student set herself on fire, another student ran to save her. But he also got badly burnt in the flames. Both were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. College administration denied comment
