Grinking on fake sadhus under ‘Operation Kalnami’, many Muslims caught among the people

Haridwar/Dehradun: Pushkar Singh Dhami Sarkar has started ‘Operation Kalnemi’ to make the Kandar Yatra going on in the holy month of Sawan in Uttarakhand. Under this campaign, strict action is being taken against fake sadhus and fraudsters. Haridwar and Dehradun police have so far detained dozens of suspects under this operation, out of 6 Muslims and a Bangladeshi citizen. At the same time, Yashveer Maharaj, associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad, has started a campaign to keep the Kandar Yatra pure.

Bangladeshi suspect caught in Dehradun

The Dehradun police detained 25 suspects on the first day of Operation Kalnemi. These include a Bangladeshi citizen Rukan amount alias Shah Alam, from which the Bangladeshi identity card was recovered. According to the police, these suspected saints were involved in the activities of cheating and begging from the kanwadis in disguise as saints and saints. In Haridwar too, 25 other suspects have been detained by the police under the leadership of SSP Ajay Singh.

Yashveer Maharaj, associated with VHP, has started a campaign to keep the Kandar Yatra pure. He reached Har’s Paidi in Haridwar and distributed pictures and saffron flags of Lord Varaha to the shopkeepers. Yashveer Maharaj said that the purpose of his campaign is to keep fake people away from the Kavad Yatra.

Focus on the purity of food and drink

Special attention is being paid to security and food purity during the Kandar Yatra in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) teams are checking food and drink shops on the Kavad road so that passengers get pure and adulterated food. Also, non-veg shops on Kavad Marg have been closed for a month.

Administration appealed to Kanwari

The Haridwar police has appealed to the Kanwari to use the Kanwar strip instead of walking on the highway. The Kavad Strip is a different route, where only the kanwadis run and bhandaras are installed. This route is safe to protect from road accidents. In addition, the administration has advised the Kanwari not to take the higher Kanwar from the limit fixed. Such kanvas will be shortened so that high tension wires do not cause an accident at risk.
