New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Wednesday that the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attack have been identified and will soon be killed. Sinha gave a lecture on the subject ‘Jammu and Kashmir: towards peace’ in Gandhi Smriti, and said that no attempt to disturb the peace in the Kashmir Valley would be successful.

‘Good news will definitely come’

He said, “After the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan received a strong response through ‘Operation Sindoor’. Those who carried out the attack have been identified and I can say with full confidence that they are difficult to stay alive now. Good news will come, but it would not be appropriate to tell a certain date.”

26 people lost their lives in Pahalgam attack

Sinha said that in the last five years, the top bosses of various terrorist organizations are no longer alive and their (terrorists) will be the same. In a attack on April 22 in Pahalgam in Kashmir Valley, 26 people were shot dead by militants. Most of the people who lost their lives in the attack were tourists. In response to the attack, India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ to target the terrorist bases located in Pakistan and its occupied Kashmir (POK) late on May 6.

In the event organized under the chairmanship of former Union Minister and Vice President of Gandhi Smriti Vijay Goel, Sinha said, “With the efforts of local administration and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are moving towards making Jammu and Kashmir a state of Gandhi’s dream.” (With language inputs)
