New Delhi: Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has criticized Western media reports on the Air India aircraft accident in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Sunday. He said that he had full confidence in the investigation of the Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (AAIB). It is not the right way to comment before the final report comes. He made this remark while talking to reporters after flagging off IndiGo flight services from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, UP.

He said that pilots have been criticized for the Ahmedabad Air India aircraft accident in Western media. The pilots have often been blamed for the accident on 12 June. According to a report by the news agency PTI, AAIB Director General GVG Yugandhar said, “It has come to our notice that some sections of international media are trying to draw conclusions through repeatedly selected and uncomfortable reporting. The report quoted the cockpit voice recording as saying, “One pilot asked the other why he switched off the fuel, then he replies that he did not do so.” The aircraft flew at 1.38 minutes 39 seconds in the Indian time and a pilot gave a message at one at 39 minutes 05 seconds.
