All schools in this district will be closed on Monday, DM’s order regarding heavy rain alert

Many areas of Uttarakhand are alert of heavy rainfall. Due to this, an order has been issued to close schools in Dehradun on Monday. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are likely at some places in Nainital, Udhamsingh Nagar, Champawat and Pauri Garhwal districts.

Order to keep schools closed due to rain

Orange alert of heavy rains has been issued in parts of Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri and Haridwar districts. The DM of Dehradun said that in view of the possibility of heavy rains, all schools in the district will be closed on July 21, ie Monday.

Strong winds will run

According to the local Meteorological Department, strong winds at different parts of the state during 48 hours are also expected to blow strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department estimates that this phase of rain may continue in the coming days.

Advice to avoid unnecessary travel

Due to heavy rains and warnings of strong winds, the general public has been advised to be vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel. The State Emergency Operations Center has directed all district administrations to be vigilant and take quick action in the event of any disaster.
