New Delhi: How did the plane crash occur on 12 June in Ahmedabad? Its mystery may soon solve. Indeed, the memory of the black box has been successfully accessed and it is being analyzed in the Lab of the Aircraft Accident Investigation (AAIB). The data obtained from CVR, FDR is under investigation. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has given this information on Thursday.

Black box memory analysis

The ministry said that Air India flight AI-171 black boxes have been recovered and are being analyzed. After the June 13 accident, Aaib formed a multi-disciplinary investigation team under the leadership of its Director General as per the international protocol. The team consists of an aviation medical expert, an air traffic control officer and representatives of the aircraft -based National Transport Safety Board (NTSB), designated by the construction of aircraft.

CVR and FDR brought to Delhi for investigation

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has stated that both Cockpit Voice Records (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR) have been recovered. The one was recovered from the roof of the building at the accident site on June 13 and the second from the rubble on 16 June. Subsequently, on 24 June, black boxes were brought from Ahmedabad to Delhi by IAF aircraft with full security. The front black box arrived at Aaib Lab, Delhi on 24 June. The rear black box was brought by another team of Aaib on 24 June. On the evening of 24 June, the team headed by the Director General of Aaib along with technical members of Aaib and NTSB started the process of extracting data. Its data was downloaded in Aaib Lab.

241 people aboard the aircraft died

Let us know that on June 12, Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft from Ahmedabad to London, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, crashed in a hostel complex of Bij Medical College in Meghani Nagar area of ​​Ahmedabad, Gujarat shortly after flying from International Airport. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also among the passengers killed in the plane crash. In this accident, out of 242 passengers aboard the aircraft, only passengers survived.
