Aircraft reached Delhi with 311 people from Iran, 1428 people have been rescued so far

New Delhi: More than 300 Indian citizens stranded in Iran have been brought from Iran to India on Sunday. The Ministry of External Affairs has given this information. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, 311 Indians have reached Delhi by special flight from Iranian city of Mashhad. It also said that with this new batch, the total number of people brought back from Iran has now increased to 1,428. Those who were evacuated included more than 200 students from Kashmir, who were studying in Iran and were trapped in the region amid growing struggle. His return brought relief to the worried relatives who were sleeping uncertainty for the safety of their children.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that 311 Indian citizens reached New Delhi by special flight from Mashhad at 4:30 pm on 22 June. He said that a total of 1,428 Indian citizens have been expelled from Iran so far. India launched ‘Operation Sindhu’ last week to bring back Indians from Iran and Israel amid growing hostility between Iran and Israel.

The Sangh said in a statement, “These students, who have faced the days of crisis in the war zone Iran, have finally returned to the safety of their motherland and the warm hugs of their waiting families.” The Sangh also praised quick coordination between Indian and Iranian officials, which ensured withdrawal during the “very serious condition”.
