Another wrote for ‘Thug Life’ cinema, a fine of 25 lakhs

‘Thug Life’ has seen a humiliating performance in theaters. The decision to release OTT for the same reason has been decided soon. If the OTT release was delayed, the film crew feared the loss of millions of rupees. For the same reason, the film crew agreed to release the film to OTT for four weeks after the release of the film. But this has provoked multiplexes.

Kamal Haasan, as a deal with multiplexes, was not released in OTT eight weeks before the release of ‘Thug Life’. But now the producer of the film, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, have come forward to bring the cinema to OTT for just four weeks. The cinema will be released shortly after the Netflix.

The film crew is breaking the deal with multiplex chains as the film has to be released quickly in OTT. For the same reason, the National Multiplex Association has imposed a fine of Rs 25 lakh on ‘Thug Life’. The film’s producers have been issued notice that the agreement will be released to OTT or a fine of Rs 25 lakh.

Netflix has bought the digital rights of cinema for Rs 130 crore. However, Netflix said that if the cinema was released late, the film would be cut in the box office. So the film is set to bring the cinema to OTT for four weeks. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam, starring Kamal Haasan, Simbhu, Trisha and Abhirami. Dharuna lost at the box office.
