Bengaluru stampede: Karnataka government increased the compensation amount to Rs 25 lakh

After RCB won the IPL 2025 title on June 3, it was decided to take out a victory procession in Bengaluru on June 4.

The team was to go to the Chinnaswamy Stadium from the assembly in an open bus, where 3 lakh people gathered. He started pushing for going inside. This caused a stampede and 11 people died after being buried, while 55 were injured.

Police registered an FIR on RCB, KSCA and others and handed over the investigation to CID.
