Various central labor organizations have called for a Bharat Bandh on July 9. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) made a big announcement on Tuesday and said it would not participate in the nationwide general strike convened on July 9 of the 10 Central Labor Organizations and their allies. The Sangh has said that some labor organizations have decided to go on strike on Wednesday to protest against the government’s plan to implement the Labor Code but it is not participating in this movement.
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has said that the government has focused on its suggestion to change the labor code and is also ready to take more corrective steps in the interest of the workers. The Sangh also said that this protest is inspired by politics.
This is the demand of labor unions
The union has called for a general strike on Wednesday to pressurize its 17 -point demand letter. Their demands include withdrawal of fixed-term jobs and abolishing the Agneepath scheme, eight-hour working day, reinstatement of non-dying old pension scheme and minimum monthly pension of Rs 9,000 for EPFO customers. Along with this, Anganwadi, Asha and Mid -Day meal, Asha Kiran etc. have also demanded the status of laborers and to implement the recommendation of the Indian Labor Conference to give them ESIC coverage.
In addition, Indian Railways, road transport, coal mines and other non-coal mines, ports and docks, defense, electricity, postal, telecom, bank and insurance sector etc. have been demanded to stop immediate preventing privatization. He also demanded the withdrawal of the requirement of Ordnance Factories and also demanded a monthly minimum salary of Rs 26000 with the price index every five years. Please tell that the union submitted a memorandum of 17 -point demands to Labor Minister Mansukh Mandavia last year.
