‘Constitution makers did not include the word secular in the Constitution’: VHP

The National Organization General Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Milind Parnde said in Nagpur today that the constitution makers did not support the inclusion of the word ‘secular’ in the Constitution, which was later added to the Constitution in Parliament without any debate. Asked how the VHP looks at the words that were later added to the constitution and which were not present at the time of constitution, said that many scholars, big legalists, philosophers and others together formed our constitution and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar had a big role in the constitution.

VHP General Secretary Milind Parande said this

Parande said that during the Constituent Assembly, it was discussed whether the word secular should be written as ‘secular’. No one had supported it at that time, nor was it supported by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar nor Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who later became the President of India, supported it. At that time the reason was told that they do not want to tie the constitution into any principle and the constitution should be independent. He said, “Our Constitution makers did not accept the word ‘secular’ and after much deliberation and debate they decided not to include it.”

Secular word added during Emergency: VHP leader

Parande said that since the word ‘secular’ was added not after independence, but during the Emergency, it needs a wide discussion on it and I think this process has begun that words like ‘socialism’ or ‘secular’, which were added at the time of suspension of Parliament, in Parliament, not after democratically discussed among MPs or public. Therefore, this process is wrong in itself, which was forced during the Emergency. Therefore, this issue should be discussed and many people are talking on this issue and if the discussion starts, I think it will go in the right direction. ”

VHP said- conspiracy against Hindus

Union Organization Minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Milind Parnde said that conspiracy is being hatched to fight Hindus among themselves. In Hindu society, they are reducing some powers to fight them among themselves. The work of spreading false information in the context of the festival of Hinduism, the festival is being done to remove them from it. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad is working against such powers. Today, Hindus are being tortured in some states of the country and Bangladesh, their citizenship is being denied. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad is doing the work of providing citizenship of the country to all such Hindus.
