Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen i.e. AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi and Markji Milad procession committee leaders on Friday. Meeting Revanth Reddy. According to the statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office i.e. CMO, the meeting also included Asaduddin Owaisi’s younger brother and AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi. Owaisi said, ‘Milad-un-Nabi festival is very special for the Muslim community. We want the government to provide free electricity to decorate mosques and dargahs on this occasion. Also, the procession should be allowed to be removed peacefully.
Free electricity for Ganesh festival in Andhra Pradesh
On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh government has also taken steps to promote religious events. Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister G. Ravi Kumar said that the state government has kept a budget of Rs 25 crore for Ganesh Chaturthi to provide free electricity to 15,000 Ganesh pandals. He said, “Our aim is to ensure that spiritual programs during Ganesh Chaturthi go on without any hindrance.” The minister also said that the NDA coalition government is not only implementing welfare schemes, but is also focusing on property creation.
Energy Minister targeted the previous government
The Energy Minister targeted the previous YSRCP government and said that the government from 2019 to 2024 submerged Andhra Pradesh in debt and misled people with incomplete schemes. In this way, both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are taking steps to support religious events. While Owaisi and his team in Telangana are demanding permission for free electricity and procession to mosques for Milad-un-Nabi, pandals are being given free electricity for Ganesh Chaturthi in Andhra Pradesh.
