Dehradun: Helicopter services for Kedarnath Dham will resume from June 17. This information has been given by Sonika, Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA).
On June 15, 7 people died in helicopter crash
On June 15, the helicopter returning to Guptkashi with pilgrims from Kedarnath was crashed near Gaurikund. Seven people died in this accident. The dead included a couple from Maharashtra and their 23 -month -old child. The incident happened around 5 am. The helicopter belonged to Aryan Haley Avishan. Seven people, including pilots, were riding in the helicopter. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over this incident. The cause of this accident was said to be technical problem and weather.
Helicopter services were suspended
The Ministry of Civil Aviation took a major action against Aryan Aviation, a company that operates the helicopter shuttle service and suspended all charter and shuttle helicopter operations in the area on 15 and 16 June 2025, keeping in mind the security situation.
Apart from this, a case was filed against Aryan Aviation’s accountable manager Kaushik Pathak and Manager Vikas Tomar under Section 105 of BNS and Section 10 of the Aircraft Act. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that its operation for the Char Dham Yatra has been suspended with immediate effect after Aryan Aviation’s helicopter was involved in a tragic accident today.
