An incident of arson near the airport to be counted in the safest areas of Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, has shocked the entire city. Two miscreants set fire on a shop and a bike parked outside on Saturday and Sunday at around 1 pm. This entire incident has been recorded in CCTV camera.

It can be clearly seen in the video that both the youths came on foot, put petrol and escaped from the spot by setting fire. The fire was so terrible that the bike was completely burnt to ashes and the shop was also very damaged.
Arson in high security zone
This incident has created an atmosphere of fear and anger among the common people, as this place is near the airport, which is considered a high security zone. People are afraid that if the crooks in such area can do so easily, then how safe the rest of the city is?
What is the matter?
Police investigation has revealed that both these accused have a criminal record before. Three months ago, in the same area, he scared a person by showing a sword. They were arrested by the police at that time, but later they were released on bail. According to the information, the shop in which the fire was set, it belongs to the same person who took refuge there to avoid them at the time of earlier incident and sent them to jail after complaining to the police. The police suspect that the incident has been done in a sense of revenge. At present, the police have detained an accused and is being questioned. CCTV footage and help of local sources are being taken to search for another accused.
Question on monitoring system
This entire incident has raised questions on the promptness of the Commissionerate Police and the monitoring system in the city. Common citizens are hoping that the culprits will be punished soon and the city’s security system will be further strengthened. It is expected that police patrolling will be increased and strict monitoring will be done in such sensitive areas at night, so that such incidents do not happen in future.
