In Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, there was a big disgrace on Thursday morning. An entire bus was absorbed in the Alaknanda River in Gholatir in the district. There has been chaos at the scene after the accident. 2 people have died and 8 people have been injured in the accident. The injured also include two children of 9 years. Both the injured children have been admitted to the hospital. SDRF teams are present on the spot and the rescue operation is being conducted. It is being told that at present, 10 passengers are missing, every effort is being made to search for.

How did the accident happen?

In a mini bus with a capacity of 31 passengers, there were 20 devotees, including the driver at the time of the accident and she was going towards Badrinath Dham. A mini bus fell into a ditch from a truck collision near Gholatir on Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway. 20 people are said to be riding in the bus, out of which seven people were stuck on the bus. The rest of the bus merged into the river. It is being told that the passengers stayed Rudraprayag at night after traveling from Kedarnath. This morning he left for Badrinath, but suddenly a truck collided near Gochar and got into the ditch and then got into the Alaknanda river.

The strong flow of the river remains a challenge in relief and rescue operations, but rescue teams are constantly searching for devotees with the local people. The vehicle also had a family from Udaipur in Rajasthan who came on a Chardham Yatra.

Police headquarters spokesperson IG Nilesh Anand Bharani said, “A bus in Ghaulathir area of ​​Rudraprayag district uncontrollably fell into the Alaknanda river. According to the information received so far, there were 20 people in the bus.”
