New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla took a dig at the opposition MPs for shouting slogans during the Question Hour in the House on Monday. He asked the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to explain to the leaders of his party that the people have not sent him to throw slips and bring placards.

Om Birla also said that the country wants to know why the Question Hour is being interrupted in a planned manner? Leaders of Congress and other opposition parties continued to shout slogans on Monday in the Lok Sabha on the issue of special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list released in Bihar. On the commencement of the House meeting, as soon as Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla started the Question Hour, the members of the opposition parties started raising slogans of ‘SIR back’.

“Don’t want to discuss Operation Sindoor?”

He told the MPs shouting slogans, “You disrupt the House in a planned manner, drop the dignity of Parliament, you do not want to discuss in the House.” Om Birla said that the country wants to know whether you do not want to run the Question Hour in a planned manner? Birla said, “Honorable members are not being allowed to speak during the Question Hour. This method is not appropriate. The House belongs to everyone.
