New Delhi: Many states of the country including Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana are getting scorching heat. The heat broke all records in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The maximum temperature was recorded at 49.4 degrees Celsius on Friday. This is the highest temperature recorded in any state in India in 2025. At the same time, a temperature of 47.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sirsa, Haryana.

The Meteorological Department said that Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu divisions are getting scorching heat. There is a possibility of fierce heat in many areas of Rajasthan from 13-15 June. At the same time, in Haryana, Punjab, UP, Madhya Pradesh, an alert of heatwave has been issued till June 15. On 13 and 14 June, there is a possibility of heat stroke at different places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh. The weather is expected to be hot in Bihar too.

Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan recorded 49.4 degrees, 47.6 in Churu, 46.9 in Jaisalmer, 46.4 in Bikaner, 46.3 in Jodhpur, 46.2 degrees in Barmer. The temperature is being recorded above 44 degrees in all districts of Rajasthan. At the same time, Jhansi was the hottest place in UP. The temperature here was recorded at 44.9 degrees. At the same time, Banda recorded 44.6 degrees, Agra recorded 45 degrees temperature. Bathinda, Punjab recorded 46 degrees, 47.6 in Sirsa, 44.6 in Hisar and 44.5 degrees in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

There is a possibility of rain in these states

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of rain in many states. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during 13–18 June. Thunderstorms and electricity are expected to rain in Central Maharashtra and Gujarat region during 13-15 June. There may be very heavy rainfall at some places in Konkan and Goa, Central Maharashtra, Gujarat during 13-19 June.

Strong winds will run here

The Meteorological Department said that rains are likely to continue in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days and during the 14–17th, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, electricity and strong winds at a speed of 40-50 kmph in Madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorms can occur at different places in western Madhya Pradesh during 13-17 June with Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha during 13-15. With this, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50-70 km. Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilagit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Delhi and UP are expected to blow strong winds during June 13 to 19.
