New Delhi: The Indian Army is constantly moving forward, focusing its focus on modernization. The army had recently used its modern techniques during the recently concluded operation vermilion. Under modernization, the Indian Army will now soon equip its soldiers with modern bulletproof jackets and modern bulletproof helmets. These bulletproof jackets and helmets are being constructed by SMPP Private Limited.

India TV reached the Manufacturing Center of SMPP Private Limited on Thursday, supplying bulletproof jackets and helmets to more than 25 countries around the world. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ammunition center of SMPP Private Limited in Himachal Pradesh.

SMPP is working to make ‘Make in India’ vision

According to Ashish Kansal, director of SMPP Private Limited, he and his father are working to realize PM Modi’s Make in India Vision and make the defense sector ‘self -sufficient’.

SMPP Private Limited has so far supplied more than three lakh bulletproof jackets to the Indian Army and other forces. It has also provided more than two lakh bulletproof helmets for soldiers. It also includes more than 13,000 bulletproof helmets designed for Sikh soldiers.

SMPP will provide 27,700 level 6 bulletproof jacket to the army

The Indian Army has been ordered to provide 27,700 level 6 bulletproof jackets and 50,000 bulletproof jackets for paramilitary forces to SMPP Private Limited. In addition, it has also been asked to provide 11,700 bulletproof helmets to the Indian Army.
