Mukesh Ambani also explained on the occasion why he chose the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT) instead of IIT Bombay.

He said that after hearing the first lecture of Professor Sharma, his trust became stronger.

Ambani credited the development of the Indian chemical industry to Professor Sharma and called him Rashtra Guru.

Let me tell you, ICT was earlier known as UDCT, which was founded in 1933 by the University of Mumbai.
