Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has reacted sharply to YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s state’s DIG and SP as ‘mafia’. Pawan Kalyan said that I do not know that whenever he says so, it seems as if it is talking about a person who once ruled like a dictator.
The previous reign told ‘dictatorship’
Pawan Kalyan termed the previous reign of Jagan Mohan Reddy as ‘dictatorship’ and said that he feels that Jagan Mohan Reddy has easily forgotten the atrocities during his government. He laughed and said, “That is why when I hear such statements, I could not live without laughing.”
“Just taking action against them now”
The Deputy Chief Minister further said that the police officers who are now rotting in jail, or who have spent the first prison in jail, including the former intelligence heads were the ones who had launched the system like a mafia. He said that it was not his government, who did so. He said, “We are only taking action against him.”
He said, “I myself was a victim of that system and even Chandrababu Naidu was once a victim. In fact, in the assembly, I can say that about 70 to 80% of the members were affected by the atrocities of that rule.”
Jaganmohan Reddy accused of DIGS
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy has made serious allegations against the state police sub -inspectors (DIGS). He has claimed that all the DIGs of the state have become ‘mafia don’ in their respective areas and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son and Minister of State Nara are working as a ‘recovery agent’ for Lokesh.
“50 percent go to the top son and father”
Jaganmohan Reddy said that the DIGS are controlling the Circle Inspector (CIS) and the Deputy DSPS (DSPS) under them and in return they have become a recovery agent for all the scams happening in their respective areas. The former Chief Minister alleged that 50 percent of liquor, sand sales and 50 percent of the money collected from clubs, industries and mines are being shared by police officers and local MLAs. “The remaining 50 percent goes to the son and father sitting at the top,” he said. He also alleged that belt shops (illegal liquor shops) are being run in all villages with the blessings of the police and liquor is being sold at a higher price than MRP.
Jaganmohan Reddy said that while his previous YSRCP government was earning a revenue of Rs 750 crore from the state sand, now the TDP -led coalition government is being looted in the name of ‘free sand’. He claimed that people are paying double the price compared to before.
