New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start a visit to Britain and Maldives from Wednesday. The main goal of this journey is to strengthen trade and defense cooperation with both countries. During his visit to Britain on July 23-24, PM Modi will hold a detailed conversation with the British Prime Minister Care Stmper in Britain and also meet Maharaja Charles III.

PM Modi’s visit to Maldives will be on 25-26 July. He will go to Maldives after Britain, where he will hold talks with President Mohammad Mujju and inaugurate several development projects supported by India. On 26 July, he will be the chief guest at the Independence Day celebrations of Maldives.

Misri said that this will be the first state visit of a government after President Muizu holding office in November 2023. Maldives is an important part of India’s ‘neighbor first policy’ and ‘Ocean Vision’, which focuses on regional security and development. Last year, the two countries created a joint approach to the ‘comprehensive economic and maritime security partnership’, which has become the basis of their relationship.
