Due to this case, the Chenab River project stayed for 2 years. Senior Advocate Maninder Singh fought the case on behalf of the railway. Maninder Singh proved that the intention behind filing the case is not good. He told the court that every aspect of security was taken care of. This project is for the benefit of the country. The case went on two years. The High Court then cleared the Chenab Railway Bridge Project. Then work on it was started.
