50 percent of the additional tariff of Trump was implemented on the export of Indian goods. After the holiday of Ganeshotsav, when the stock market opened today, the Sensex and Nifty were dropped significantly. The Sensex fell 706 points to close at 80,080.57, while the Nifty fell 211 points to close at 24,501 points. Traders say that Trump Tariff had an impact on the Sentime of the market, but it will not be much time and will rise late.

The tariff which was only 3% a year ago on goods going from India to America added 50%. India sells $ 90 billion goods to the US, now 50% of additional tariffs have been imposed on $ 60 billion of these $ 60 billion. This is a big challenge for Indian industry. Its impact will be more on India’s textile, garments, jewelery, diamonds, shrimps, carpet and furniture industry. These factories will not have much work for a few months. Their production will decrease, laborers will be removed.

The thing to note is that Trump has not imposed any tariff on the things that America needs. These include smartphones, medicines, and petroleum products. 62% tariff on our textile and clothes came into force from the new rate. This will benefit traders from Bangladesh and Mexico. For example, the shirts that are exported to America from here, they currently have 12% duty, which has increased to 62% from now. When the shirts made in India are expensive in the American market, it will benefit Vietnam with only 20% tariffs on the goods.

The diamond, gold and jewelery that India exports to America is the highest in America’s trade. It was only 2% tariff on it till the day before. It increased from yesterday to 52%. This will affect traders and artisans of cities like Surat and Jaipur. That is, it is clear that the tariff of Trump will have a negative effect. Assessment is to be done how much this effect will be.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not in the mood to take immediate steps on the tariff. India has decided to outreach for its textile, sea-food, leather, gems and jewelery exporters. The government is interacting with about 40 countries including Russia, European Union, Britain, Japan, Australia and South Korea to increase business with these countries and compensate for the reduction in exports from American tariffs.

The cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi assessed the impact of additional tariffs of the US, the government has decided that the free trade agreement with the friendly countries of India will be emphasized. Apart from this, an attempt will be made to reduce the shock to export by increasing domestic consumption. Trump has also tricked the tariff. The things that are consumed in the US have not applied additional tariffs on them. For example, India exports drugs worth $ 9.5 billion to the US every year. Earlier, America did not put any tariff on medicines and still will not be imposed.

Similarly, India is the biggest manufacturer of smartphones in the world. Every year 16.6 billion dollars of smartphones are exported to the US from India. There was Zero Tarif on India’s smartphone. Trump has also kept it in trouble. The US has not imposed any additional tariffs on India’s petrochemical exports. India sells US $ 4.1 billion petro-chemical products every year. Earlier it used to be 6.9 percent tariff, even now this rate will be tariff. 50% Tariff of Trump is a challenge for India but no mountain will break. This will affect exports but it is not that India’s economy will be destroyed by Trump’s tariff.

If our exporters will have trouble with the increased tariff, then Trump will also have to face consumers’ displeasure in the US. I talked to many Trade Experts. He says that there is absolutely no need to panic with Trump’s tariff. The global situation is such that this tariff will not last long. Trump will have to reduce it because Trump’s tariff is not on Merit. More to bother India.

There is also pressure on America to adopt double criteria. Trump is being asked that China also buys oil from Russia, then why was 25% additional TARIFF leaving it except India? Did Trump make Russian oil an excuse? The real thing is that Modi has refused to open the market of agriculture and dairy products to American companies. This angered Trump. Whenever India’s talk starts again from America, Trump will be asked how can the countries buy oil from Russia be treated in different ways? Why different scale for India and China?

It will also be asked that if Trump imposes additional tariffs on India, then what is the justification for leaving China? American business experts also believe that 50% tariff cannot continue for a long time. The trump administration is showing internal pressure. US Finance Minister Scott Besant has said that India and America have very good relations, Prime Minister Modi and Donald Trump also have a good relationship. So they hope that soon both countries will resolve mutual issues and the two will come together.

Vote theft: Rahul’s arguments are meaningless

The most interesting thing is that Trump, who has harmed India, is starting to like Rahul Gandhi very much nowadays. Whoever bothers Modi comes in Rahul’s good books. At a rally in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Rahul Gandhi once again crossed the limit of political dignity on the pretext of Trump. Citing Trump’s statement, he spoke in road imprint language for Modi. Rahul accuses the vote theft every day but yesterday he mentioned Trump’s statement that stopped war. Then came to the Gujarat model and said that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are winning the election for twenty years with the help of the Election Commission.

It is true that in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, Congress has lost the Lok Sabha elections three times in 11 years, but once in these 11 years, the BJP lost the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh together. Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal still have Congress governments. So how can it be said that for 20 years Modi won all elections by stealing votes? I think for 11 years, Rahul Gandhi has been looking for an answer to the question why the Congress loses the election again and again? He never admitted that Modi won elections on the basis of popularity.

Earlier, Rahul used to say that ED, CBI and Income Tax win the election to BJP but for 10 years all these agencies were with the Congress government. Still why Congress lost the election badly in 2014?

When this logic did not work, Rahul started blaming the vote theft for defeat in the election. In order to tell and explain to his supporters, it can be argued that Modi won the election by reducing votes, sometimes by increasing the vote. But for the rest of the people it is neither logical nor reliable. When the Election Commission conducts elections, such a number of government employees, officers, teachers and political activists are connected in this whole process that if someone tries to defeat or win someone, he will be caught immediately. That is why it is meaningless to question the Election Commission or the entire election process. (Rajat Sharma)
