Bangalore: A court of people on Thursday dismissed the anticipatory bail application of BJP MLA Munirath, who was accused of raping a woman from her accomplices.
The petition filed by Munirat, said that the special court judge, Santhosh Gajanan Bhatt, on Thursday, ordered the petition of “criminal cases against lawmakers and criminals.”
Senior advocate CH Hanumantaraya, a senior lawyer for the victim, had filed a complaint lodged at the RMC Yard Police Station in connection with the allegation of threatening the victim.
Additional Advocate General CS Pradeep, who was present for the prosecution, said, “A complaint has been lodged at the RMC Yard Police Station for allegedly threatening the victim of Munirath.
Munirath’s lawyer SS Srinivasa Rao and senior advocate S Shyamasundar appealed to the judge to “consider the interim bail application.”
Senior advocate CH Hanumantaraya, who argued on behalf of the victims, argued that “the court can issue an interim order before the prosecutor issued a notice when the prosecutor has issued a notice when he applies for an anticipatory bail under Section 438 (1) (4).
