Bangalore: A preliminary investigation was found in the case of the police in the case of selling tickets of IPL matches and two constables were suspended.

Constable Venkatagirigowda and Ulsoor Traffic Police Station Constable Ravichandra, who were on duty at the city traffic management center (TMC), have been suspended and the Joint Police Commissioner of the Traffic Division, MN Anuchet, has ordered.

On May 17, the accused Shankar and Suresh were selling IPL tickets near Vijayanagar. A ticket worth ₹ 1,200 was sold for 5,000. The two were arrested by the police of Govindaraja Nagar police station, who were operating in the pretext of buying a ticket. The investigation of the accused was found to be the handicap of the police personnel.

A notice was issued to Venkatagirigowda and Ravichandra on charges of giving a ticket to the accused. Based on the information found during the investigation, the two were suspended by reserving a departmental inquiry. The accused, Suresh and Shankar, sold 1,200 denomination tickets for 5000 and 4,290 denomination tickets. The investigation revealed that Venkatagirigowda and Ravichandra were also share in the profit.

The investigation is continuing to find out where the suspended constables were brought to the accused. Constables are being seized and interrogated.
