New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Thursday taunted the lunch at the White House with US Army Chief Asim Munir’s US President Donald Trump. Tharoor hoped that Munir might have received “Food for Thought” (something to think) while having a meal with Trump. Shashi Tharoor said that according to the White House, Asim Munir once said that Trump should be honored with the Nobel Peace Prize. Taking a sarcasm, Tharoor said that he was rewarded with lunch at the White House soon after.

When asked to comment on the Trump-Munir meeting, Shashi Tharoor said, “I have not seen the result of the meeting. According to the White House, this general said that the President should receive the Nobel Peace Prize, and then he was rewarded with lunch. I hope that the food was good and in this process he would have got ‘food for thott’.”
Tharoor said on the role of America on terrorism
Tharoor also hoped that the United States would remind Pakistan of the importance of stopping Pakistan from flourishing terrorism and the US should not forget the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001. Tharoor said, “I hope that the US will remind Pakistan of Pakistan not to support terrorism, not to compete in our country, not to equip, not financed and send.” He added, “It is our hope that no Osama bin Laden in the US government has forgotten the episode.”
