Shashi Tharoor refused to criticize the government on Operation Sindoor

The monsoon session of Parliament has started. Although the session has been between about 1 weeks, but the house has to be postponed repeatedly amidst the uproar of the opposition. The opposition is constantly demanding a discussion on operation vermilion. However, the government alleges that the opposition is disrupting the discussion of creating uproar. Meanwhile, big news has come out. According to sources, Shashi Tharoor has refused to criticize the government on Operation Sindoor.

What did Tharoor say to Congress?

Sources claim that the Congress leadership had asked Tharoor to join the debate, to which Tharoor said- “He cannot follow the government criticizing the government on operation vermilion.” He clarified that Operation Sindoor was successful and he would remain on the same attitude.

According to Congress sources, Shashi Tharoor was approached by Leader of Opposition/Deputy Leader to speak on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha. However, Tharoor said that he will say what has been saying till now and cannot be separated in it. He also said that he found Operation Sindoor successful and he would say the same thing. But he was told that he would have to follow the party line. So Tharoor refused to speak.

Operation Sindoor is going to be discussed in the Lok Sabha on Monday during the monsoon session of Parliament. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has also reached Parliament to participate in the session. During this time, Tharoor refused to answer any question and said- “Mounavrata, silence.”

Six Congress MPs will participate in debate

A total of six Congress MPs will participate in the debate on Operation Sindoor, which runs 16 hours in the Lok Sabha. These are MPs:

  • Gaurav Gagoi
  • Priyanka Gandhi Vadra
  • Dependra hooda
  • Praniti S Shinde
  • Saptagiri Ulaka
  • Bijendra S Ola
