In North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, Bangladeshi smugglers once again tried to smuggle the vigilant soldiers of BSF South Bengal Frontier. Vigilant and brave soldiers posted at the border outpost Tarali-1 of the 143rd Battalion of BSF boldly faced the attack. Even in difficult circumstances, the soldiers firing in self -defense, taking extreme restraint and completely thwarted this attempt of smuggling. Two smugglers have been arrested during the action. 10 kg of ganja, 100 falsedil bottles and a sharp weapon have been recovered from the spot. A BSF jawan was injured in this campaign, who has suffered a left -handed injury.
How did the smugglers attack?
According to the information received, the incident took place around 01:50 pm, when the jawan, who was giving duty on the advance check post of the second shift, noticed that 3 to 4 suspects were moving towards the international border with the backload. The jawan on duty immediately alerted his partner, showing vigilance and increased rapidly in the direction of smugglers. The jawan challenged them to stop, but they did not stop and became aggressive using stone pelting, abuses and flashlight lights. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the jawan fired from a PAG as a warning in the air. Despite this, the smugglers became more fierce and came close to the jawan and attacked him with a sharp weapon.
Two suspected smugglers caught
BSF jawan was injured in smugglers attack. Meanwhile, other soldiers also reached the spot. Taking advantage of the dark and nearby houses, the smugglers started trying to escape, but the vigilant soldiers chased and caught two suspected smugglers. A large quantity of drug and smuggling items were recovered from them. After this, a thorough search of the area was conducted, in which 100 bottles of Ferdil and a sharp sharp dah were recovered. The arrested smugglers have been brought to the border post Tarali-1 for further inquiries.

A spokesperson for BSF South Bengal Frontier said that such incidents on our duty path are not uncommon. Our soldiers are discharging their obligations with extraordinary courage, commitment and vigilance.
