Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin started the revival work of at least 1,000 years old in the state on Friday. The government said that the state Hindu religious and charitable settlement department will improve them without changing the original architectural craft of temples. The department has started repairing temples at a cost of Rs 100 crore. The Chief Minister started this initiative from the Secretariat here virtually and on this occasion a book ‘Thirukkurai-Training of Universal Wisdom’ was released.
Inauguration of 403 classes constructed at a cost of Rs 99.35 crore
He inaugurated 403 classes, 54 toilets, 13 laboratories and 2 drinking water facilities in 72 government high and secondary schools through the School Education Department at a cost of Rs 99.35 crore. An official release issued here said that Stalin laid a wreath at the statue of freedom fighter Maviran Azhagumuthukone located near Egmore railway station here.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the District Magistrates through a video conference on July 15 in Chidambaram before the introduction of the public relations program ‘Fingal Stalin’ (Stalin). The purpose of this program is to give people the benefit of government services/schemes at home. Another release said that the Chief Minister flagged off 198 vehicles worth Rs 17.65 crore provided for the use of officials of Rural Development and Panchayat Department and handed over the keys to the officers.
