A surprising negligence has come to light from Khadiyal Sub-Division Hospital in Nuapada district of Odisha. According to the information, Raju Tandi and Anju Tandi, who hail from Badgana in Khadiyal block, brought their two -year -old son Duleshwar to the hospital on Friday due to fever. Dr. Majhi wrote medicines for the treatment of the child and sent it to the nurse to give injections. But there was a big mistake here. Instead of injecting Duleshwar, the nurse Rashmita Panda, who was on duty, injected mother Anju Tandi.

Nurse injected mother instead of child

After this incident, Anju’s stomach ache started and the injection mark is also clearly visible there. Anju himself told that when he lowered his pants to get his son injected, the nurse, while negligence, put the injection in his stomach, which is hurting him in severe pain and has also made a mark of injection.

When Dr. Mahendra Majhi was questioned on this whole matter, he said, “We came to a patient who had cold cough and fever. Because it is rainy day and malaria is becoming a victim, so we also advised the patient to get the patient to get the malaria test done. Because the fever was too much, we had asked the patient to get the patients’. Gives medicine.

Less dose was injected

Unfortunately, at the time when the nurse patient was injected to the child, the child shook his body, due to which the injection got into the stomach of the child’s mother. The mother of patients gave me information about this. We will interrogate the nurse about the case, but the injection of paracetamol was being given to the children, it was very low dose which was about 0.4mg. The injection was filled with only the same medicines in the injection.

Inquiry will sit on the nurse

There will be no inconvenience to the mother from the dose of 0.4 of paracetamol, which I have given information to the mother of the patient. If some other medicine in the injection was heavy, we would treat the mother of the patient as per medicine at the time, but unfortunately this accident happened. The kind of action that the staff nurse has done, we will definitely put inquiry on the nurse because what would have happened if any other drug was filled in injection?
