Earlier on Thursday, earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR and Haryana. The intensity of this earthquake was 4.4 on the Richter scale. According to the National Center for Sismology, the center of the earthquake was three kilometers northeast from Jhajjar and 51 km west of Delhi at a depth of 10 km from the ground.

People were out of their homes

Apart from Jhajjar, earthquake tremors were also felt in neighboring Rohtak and Gurugram districts, Panipat, Hisar and Meerut. As soon as the earthquake felt the tremors in Delhi, panic spread and people came out of the houses and gathered in open places. People felt a sharp shock of the earthquake. Some people got out of their homes barefoot.
