In Kalburgi, Karnataka, miscreants looted a jewelery shop in broad daylight. The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm on Friday. In Kalburgi’s busy bullion market, there is a sensation due to robbery incident. Here four miscreants looted a person named Sonar Moti hostage on the strength of weapons. The pearl is originally from West Bengal.

The dacoit came wearing a mask and a hat. He entered the shop and placed the pearl at the tip of the gun. Silent tape on the mouth, and looted gold jewelery worth about ₹ 60 lakhs. About 2–3 kg of gold was stolen, which has been priced at 50–60 lakhs.

Five police teams started investigating

The incident was captured in CCTV cameras, which has now been taken over by the police. Police Commissioner Dr. Sharanappa, DCP Kanaka Sikriwal, SP and many officials immediately reached the spot and started investigation. The case has been registered at Brahmapur police station. The police have formed five special teams to resolve the case. Efforts are being made to identify robbers based on CCTV video. Police are also investigating other CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops.

ATM van was robbed in Bidar

The incident of robbing ATM van was revealed in Bidar, Karnataka a few months ago. On January 16, two criminals shot cash loaded employees in the ATM in the morning and escaped with a cash container. One bank employee was killed in the shootout, while the other was admitted to the hospital. The second major incident of robbery in an interval of about six months has shook people. The incident in Kalburgi has further increased the concern of the people.
