Guntur: A 55 -year -old man was crushed by a car at a YSR Congress party rally in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Four days after the person’s death, a distracted video has also surfaced. It can be seen in the video that the person was crushed under a car, in which former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy himself was riding. Let us know that former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was taking out a rally from Tadepalli to Rentapallla in Palnadu district on Wednesday, 18 June, which was to comfort the family of a YSRCP official, about which the party says that he gave his life due to alleged police harassment.

Police claims to be a white car first

At the same time, when the convoy reached the highway near Etukuru, a car crushed Plumber Chili Singayya of Vengalayapalem village, who went to participate in the rally. Initially, the police claimed that a white Tata Safari with the AP22 CE 0001 number, which was not part of the official YSRCP convoy, was a private vehicle, crushed Singayya. However, the video features Singayya crushing under the next wheel of a black car. Sitting on the seat of this car, Jagan was seen standing outside the car door and greeting his supporters, who flock to see him. At the same time, security personnel were trying to control the crowd.

Video of the accident surfaced

It can be seen in the video that Singayya fell in front of the car amidst Afra-Tafri. After this, the front wheel of the car passed over him and his neck was crushed. The car then stopped for a few moments and Jagan was seen trying to deal with the uncontrollable crowd. After a few moments the car started running again. It is not clear from the video what happened to Singayya at that time. During this time some supporters also appeared standing on the bonnet of the car. People around the convoy were throwing rose petals and shouting slogans in the name of Jagan. Most of the car was covered with rose petals.

SP made a statement on accident

Guntur Superintendent of Police S Satish Kumar told the media that Singayya was left aside after the accident and no one paid attention to her. The SP said, “He was injured, but the vehicles moved forward without stopping. Assistant Rajasekhar on highway patrolling duty took Singayya to the hospital, where he was declared dead.” The SP had said on 18 June that Singayya was trying to throw flowers at the rally, when he fell and a car left his shoulder. He had said that a Tata Safari, which was not part of Jagan’s convoy, but a private vehicle, moved 50 meters beyond the convoy and crushed Singayya. SP Satish Kumar said, “We had allowed a convoy of 11 vehicles and three other vehicles, but 35 to 38 additional vehicles were added without permission. At the end of the route, there was an unexpected crowd, causing more vehicles on the way.”
