New Delhi: Heavy rains in Gujarat and Maharashtra have flood -like conditions in many areas. Many states of the country are still expected to have heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh between 20 June and 25 June. The southwest monsoon is expected to reach parts of Delhi and Haryana, Punjab by 22 June.

According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, today Gujarat, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to receive very heavy rainfall. On June 21, there may be strong rains in eastern Madhya Pradesh. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 kmph.

Rain will continue in Northeast India

Rain activities will continue in Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Maharashtra, Marathwada during 20-25 June. There will be rain in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 22-24 June. During the next 7 days, there is a possibility of continuing heavy rains in thunderstorms, electricity and different places in Northeast India.

Know when and where it will rain

The Meteorological Department said that heavy rainfall is likely at different places in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan during June 20-25. Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilagit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on 22 and 25 June, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, 20-25 June during June 21-25, will receive heavy rains in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 20-25 June.

Flood -like conditions in many areas

During the last 24 hours, heavy rains in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Jharkhand have created flood -like conditions in many areas. Due to heavy rains in Pune, water has entered the premises of Ganpati temple. A large part of the temple has been submerged in the flood waters. At the same time, after heavy rains in Valsad, Gujarat, a van was swept away in the disturbed Kharera river near Vaghaldhara. NDRF teams have been deployed for relief and rescue.

How will the temperature be in the country

The maximum temperature in Madhya Pradesh is expected to fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius during the next 5 days and there will be no major change after that. There is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature in the rest of the country.
