Warning of torrential rain with thunderstorms in 11 states including Haryana

New Delhi: Monsoon rains in many states on Tuesday disturbed normal life. Many cities including Surat, Vapi in Gujarat faced the problem of waterlogging. Several parts of Nashik in Maharashtra were submerged due to the rise of the Godavari river and the coastal Kerala also received rain. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert warning of heavy rains in many parts of Western, Central, Eastern and Southern India in the next few days.

Heavy rains are expected in these states from 25 to 30 June

The Meteorological Department said that rain activity in northwest India is likely to increase from June 25. Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra and Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to receive heavy rains during 25 to 30 June. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during 25 to 30 June. Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilagit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad may receive rains during 25 to 27 June.

Alert of heavy rain in Bihar-Jharkhand

There may be torrential rains in Haryana and Punjab on Wednesday and Thursday. From today to 28 June, heavy rainfall is expected at different places in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. During this period, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kmph. Rainfall is expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 29 June.

The Meteorological Department in Delhi has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for Wednesday, in which rain and thunderstorms have been estimated. The sky can be cloudy. Today the maximum temperature is likely to be around 34 ° C, while the minimum temperature is likely to be 27 ° C.

How will the weather be in South India and Northeast

The Meteorological Department said that light to moderate rains, thunderstorms, electricity and one-two to two heavy rains are likely to continue in many or most places in Northeast India during the next 7 days. Heavy rains are expected at different places in Kerala and Karnataka from 25 to 28 June. There will be rain in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on 27th.

Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana are likely to blow superficial winds at a speed of 40 to 60 kmph. Light to moderate rains may occur in many or some places in Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka during 25 to 30 June.
