In the eightgarh area of Cuttack of Odisha, a couple who have been hazardous bike stunts for social media have taken major action and imposed a huge fine of 16,000. The case came to light when a video became increasingly viral on social media, in which a young man was driving his wife in a dangerous way by putting his wife forward on a Royal Enfield Bullet Motorcycle. According to the information, the couple was shooting videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube shorts. In the video, the woman can be seen sitting on the bike tank, while the man was riding a bike dangerously.
Video of dangerous stunts went viral
After this video went viral, a conscious citizen immediately shared the video on social media while tagging the Odisha Transport Department, State DGP, Cuttack District Collector and Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department Usha Padhi. Along with the video, the registration number of the bike was also shared and action was demanded from those responsible. Taking quick action on the complaint, RTO started investigating the matter. The investigation was identified as Mohan Sahu, the bike owner. The RTO then issued a challan of 16,000 for violation of the rules.
RTO department cut 16 thousand challan
The RTO department imposed a fine of 5,000 under Section 184 Motor Vehicle Act (Dangerous Driving). Section 190 (2) fined 10,000 for noise and air pollution and 194 (d) imposed a fine of 1,000 for not wearing helmets of both driver and ride. Explain that it is a serious crime to use public roads to make dangerous stunts and viral videos. This incident has proved that breaking the law may be overwhelming in the affairs of social media likes and views. Stunts on the road not only put their life but also the lives of others.
