The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has raised a big issue of reviewing socialist and secular words in the Preamble of the Constitution. Dattatreya Hosbole, who is considered number-2 in the RSS, has said that the socialist and secular words were included during the Emergency and they were never part of the constitution that BR Ambedkar prepared.

RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosbale said that these words were never in the preamble of the constitution made by Babasaheb Ambedkar. During the Emergency, when fundamental rights were suspended, Parliament was not working, the judiciary was paralyzed, then these words were added. Duttayetha Hosbole said that the issue was discussed later but no attempt was made to remove them from the preface. Hosbale said, so whether they should stay in the preface or not, it should be considered.
